Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture is performed by a Physician (MD) trained in both Western (modern) Medicine and Acupuncture. This means the physician can assess a medical problem, give a diagnosis and tailor acupuncture or modern medical treatments to provide the best outcome.

I first encountered acupuncture during my time in the US Air Force where I was taught very basic techniques for pain relief using Auricular (ear) acupuncture points. In my medical career, I have encountered many patients who get no benefit from 'modern' medical treatments. I became certified in Medical Acupuncture to provide patiens another option for treatment
